UPMC Childrens South Fayette

Bridgeville, PA

The new Children’s South places Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC services — pediatric outpatient services, primary care, and after-hours care — in one highly visible, kid- and family-friendly, easily accessible building. This new building is equipped with a fully digital networked lighting control system from LC&D (Lighting Control & Design). This system provides the building with both dimming and switching of the lighting and utilizes natural light daylight harvesting as an additional lighting control measure in the building. Sensor Switch occupancy sensors are installed in the single user areas of the building in order to comply with the latest State Energy Codes. The design team of IKM Architects and Loftus Engineers have received a LEED Certified status on the building for their design.
